Arms deal ‘whitewash’ judges Seriti and Musi off the hook
Watchdog says disciplinary processes for errors by commissioners may deter judges from taking on commission work

The judicial conduct committee (JCC) has by a majority dismissed a complaint against retired judges Willie Seriti and Hendrik Musi, related to their 2015 arms deal commission report.
In its ruling, the JCC said the complaint related “solely” to the outcome of the commission of inquiry. The Judicial Service Commission Act disallows complaints that relate “solely to the merits of a judgment or order”...
