EDITORIAL: Uncertainty continues for ZEP holders
Future of estimated 178,000 Zimbabweans who have made SA their home remains unclear

The repeated extensions of the Zimbabwean extension permit (ZEP) and the prolonged court wrangles over it must have been a nightmarish source of uncertainty for the estimated 178,000 Zimbabweans who have made SA their home for about 15 years.
The issue dates back to 2021 and there have been several extensions since then. In addition to the ZEP holders there are about 55,000 holders of the Lesotho exemption permit (LEP). ..
