IT IS absolutely not true that Switzerland is suffering from an irony deficit.It is true that news outlets are reporting that its government wants refugees arriving in that country to hand over any assets worth more than Sf1,000.Broadcaster SRF was quoted by the Huffington Post and The Guardian as saying the assets would be used to help with the processing of asylum applications and providing social assistance.They also report that refugees who are given the right to stay and work in Switzerland will have to surrender 10% of their wages until they repay Sf15,000 in costs.The news spawned a satirical Twitter account called Save Switzerland. Its biog describes the account this way: "We are a desperately poor nation, plagued by war & starvation. Only the involuntary donations of rich refugees can #SaveSwitzerland."One of its tweets read, "Today’s sunset over the ruins of Geneva.
