For those who still can’t make up their minds between the new way, which is the United Rugby Championship (URC), and the old staple for franchise teams of Super Rugby, the weekend delivered two conflicting messages.

One of the big downsides of the URC is that games between full-strength teams are less set in stone than was the case during the Super Rugby era. Whereas in the URC there are portions of the competition that clash with international rugby, meaning the non-availability of national players, the Super Rugby season never coincided with the international season.  ..
