Transport Minister Joe Maswanganyi might want a word with his speech writer. His address to the media after a lengthy meeting with the police and metered and e-hailing taxi services included an interesting injunction to the taxi operators, who are sometimes at violent loggerheads over securing passengers. According to a copy of the speech sent to the media, Maswanganyi said: "We also called on the affected parties to immediately seize acts of intimidation, disorder and violence which engulfed the industry."
