Farce over the public sector wage increase would be funny if it was not so tragic

The government’s handling of the self-created mess that is the bloated public sector wage bill has been nothing short of disgraceful.
While no-one argues that the country’s more than 1-million public servants have to be paid a pittance, public sector wage increases have been disproportionately high in comparison with other workers, and have been growing in an unsustainable manner that has crowded out investment in service delivery and growth-enhancing infrastructure...
