THE Indian community has reacted with outrage at a comment made by an African National Congress (ANC) leader, himself of Indian descent, that members of the race group who are constantly whining about the government should "go to India".Visvin Reddy, a former eThekwini municipal councillor and ANC Chatsworth branch chairman, made the comment on Facebook on Wednesday.The comment has ignited controversy amid political parties’ efforts to woo the Indian vote ahead of the election.The Facebook post outlined the strides South Africa has made since apartheid ended 20 years ago. Mr Reddy thanked the ANC for the progress.Other Facebook users responded by criticising the ANC and its leader, President Jacob Zuma, over corruption, mismanagement and crime.Mr Reddy did not take kindly to the criticism.
