Investors have shown particular interest in meeting SA’s central bankers in Washington this week, possibly because SA is doing less badly than many other advanced and emerging market countries.
Reserve Bank governor Lesetja Kganyago, who arrived in Washington on Wednesday for the IMF and World Bank annual meetings, said he has had to ration his time to fit in investor meetings alongside the many official meetings that the central bankers and finance ministers of the two institutions’ 190 member countries are attending this week...
