Vodacom postpaid and fibre prices up as costs rise and the rand weakens
The average increase of 4.6% is lower than January’s consumer inflation of 5.3%, says the company

SA’s largest mobile operator, Vodacom, has announced annual increases for its postpaid and fibre tariffs as it grapples with higher operating costs, while working to keep and attract customers to its network.
In an economic downturn, it is expected that mobile operators — doing business in an environment of rising living and borrowing costs; higher energy costs and a weaker local currency — would have to increase some prices to keep pace with the cost of doing business...
