Last week, when I heard that Sage, a respected international company, had fired the bravest whistle-blower of them all, Bianca Goodson, I really had to wonder at what goes on in the minds of South African executives. Do they realise what is happening in SA? Do they care? Or do they think it is business as normal? Do they think the economy will miraculously recover by itself? Do they think they are immune to the poverty around us, to a failing education system, to rising crime rates? Perhaps they do.
