Alexander Forbes has exited the insurance business to focus on advice, investments, retirement fund administration and employee benefits. CEO Dawie de Villiers spoke to Business Day about the group’s realignment to focus on its core capabilities as well as its plans to release capital to scale up further.
Q: You said at the end of last year that you would be looking to grow your footprint of financial advisors. What is the rationale for moving into this space?..
