Floyd Shivambu says the EFF will not support motions of no confidence brought by the ANC in SA’s metros. A motion of no confidence will be debated later this afternoon in Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba. A motion has also been tabled by the ANC against Johannesburg speaker Vasco Da Gama. It is one of the last items on the agenda for the two-day council meeting that ends on Thursday. "The EFF will not support any of the opportunist motions of no confidence brought by the ANC in the metros," Shivambu tweeted on Thursday. The EFF is the kingmaker in the metro and gave its votes to the coalition when it voted Mashaba in as mayor in 2016, following the local government elections in which the ANC lost its majority. "Any rational and sensible South African will know that of all devils, the ANC in its present form is not an option and can’t be trusted with political power.
