SA’s roads are as dangerous as a battlefield. The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) recorded a shocking number of fatalities on our roads last year. A total 12,436 people died on our dangerous roads, the agency said.
To put it in perspective, the UN high commissioner for human rights had verified as many as 8,983 civilian deaths during Russia’s more than year-long invasion of Ukraine by June 4. ..
