Hopefully Sharks CEO Eduard Coetzee won’t read this column. If he does he might try to ban me from coming to Durban again. If you consider that one month short of a year ago I travelled there for a game that was postponed because of Covid, it does seem there may be a jinx going down.
This time it wasn’t Covid, and pandemic issues have receded from being a factor when it comes to sports events. So it was a shock to be told on the way into Kings Park on Friday afternoon when I went to pick up my parking ticket that the match was off. For the second time in less than a year. What now? Gastroenteritis? Surely not!..
