THE global motor show circuit is not what it once was. Many manufacturers are cutting back, not just on all the glitz and glamour but also on what shows they actually attend. This means that the focus is on annual shows such as Geneva, Detroit and Shanghai as well as Frankfurt and Paris, which alternate each year. So there were great expectations for this year’s Paris show, but as has become the norm these days, the shine has dimmed slightly. There were some big model reveals though, many of which you can expect to see in showrooms and on our roads in 2017, so here is the our look at the highlights of Paris. AUDI The company with the four rings had three world debuts at the show, but the most important was the new Q5 which adopts the new design language at the Ingolstadt firm, particularly when it comes to the interior.
