Old Mutual has disclosed the details of nonpayment of a claim that led to widespread anger on social media, saying it was linked to a divorce. 

The financial services manager was initially “reluctant” to comment in the interests of client confidentiality and to uphold the Protection of Personal Information Act (Popia). It said usually customers wouldn’t want details such as their divorce discussed publicly. ..
