The genocidal campaign against the Rohingya Muslims by the Myanmar regime is a crime against humanity. There are clear moral imperatives to stop the slaughter of innocent civilians in that country. No nation should dare to stand before the world and declare its "cultural right" to commit genocide. The brutality in Myanmar demands international intervention to bring a halt to this emerging holocaust. The Rohingya Muslims are being forsaken, rendered dead by the apathy of the Muslim world. We need to raise our utmost concern against those who collectively and individually perpetrate evil and the impact of apathetic bystanders as fuel for violence. The UN Security Council is, as usual, impotent in the face of such an outrageous and heinous atrocity. The grim situation in Myanmar is a brutal form of ethnic cleansing. Farouk AraieBenoni
