THE government, business and labour have agreed on the need for a three-year programme to create 1-million youth internships, to be jointly financed by the private sector and a package of state incentives, President Jacob Zuma said on Friday.A further R1.5bn had so far been set aside to promote "equity investments" in small businesses, Zuma said during a briefing after a meeting of the Presidential CEOs Initiative at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan said that the schemes could be launched early in 2017.
