HER new store will be like a sweet shop for shoes, Adihambo Mula-Landers promises. She sells bespoke sandals with an innovative twist — customers choose a sole and then buy a range of uppers to create a new look.After two-and-a-half years of selling shoes at markets and online she is opening a shop that will allow her to offer a wider range of footwear.Galago Sandals is launching later this year at 27 Boxes in the Johannesburg suburb of Melville — SA’s first shopping centre made entirely of shipping containers.The development will provide 78 shops and 200 parking bays, according to property developer Citiq. The retail spaces will average 14m² and monthly rentals will range from R1,600 to R2,000."Getting access to market is very expensive for a start-up," says Mula-Landers. "I am opening the shop because of customer feedback.
