TELKOM CEO Sipho Maseko has lashed out at the telecoms regulator for its "random and erratic" regulatory decisions.Telkom is considering legal action to challenge the decision that the Independent Communications Authority of SA (Icasa) took to auction radio frequency spectrum licences. Unlocking the spectrum to industry will accelerate the roll-out of the super-fast 4G wireless network.The process has already been criticised by Cell C, while the telecommunications and postal services minister has since filed a court application for an interdict to stop the process and for it to be declared irrational and unlawful.Maseko said Telkom had "fundamental problems" with the spectrum licensing process. He accused the regulator of making "rules on the run"."You cannot make rules as you go. It’s not right.
