EFF leader Julius Malema is reading The Super Afrikaners, tracking the parallels between the relationship the Broederbond had with the National Party (NP) to the ANC’s capture by the Gupta family. While his literary bread and butter remains the writings of Steve Biko, Frantz Fanon, Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin, Malema says he wants to understand the thinking of the Broederbond "secret society". "How did they organise themselves? Are there similarities to what is happening now? Because we might be thinking we are dealing with the ANC only to find that there is a secret society in Saxonwold that is running pretty much a similar operation to the Broederbond," Malema says. Next on his reading list is the book by former apartheid intelligence minister Niel Barnard, Secret Revolution: Memoirs of a Spy Boss.
