I am writing in response to the vitriolic and ill-founded attack on Dr Makhosi Khoza, by Morgan Phaahla (Khoza sets a bad example, July 25). Firstly, I am curious to know whether Phaahla is employed as a spin doctor for the agents of state capture and corruption that are tearing our country apart. If he is, what follows is irrelevant; if he is not, I ask him to read on. Let me address a number of Phaahla’s ill judged comments: • He refers to "not washing dirty linen in public". My comments are twofold — who soiled the linen? Can there be anybody who is not aware of the "dirty linen"? Washing something in public that is generally well-known can do little damage. • He refers to the conduct of comrade Khoza setting a bad precedent. I differ: it sets a very good precedent. In support of this, I draw Phaahla’s attention to an article by Khoza titled, I love the ANC but I worship my country, which he can find on the internet.
