Peter Bruce (Thick End of the Wedge, March 24) never ceases to amaze. He proposes a basic income grant of R2,000 a month to all South Africans over 18. By his own calculations it would cost R720bn, or nearly 75% of the current national budget. Please, Peter, as the editor-in-chief of SA’s only business newspaper, tell us where that money would come from? Anthony Still Waverley
