Many years ago, I read Billy Bremner’s autobiography. Bremner, an iconic figure at Leeds United, was club captain when the team was dominant in the English First Division in the 1970s.

In the book, Bremner recalled an invitation game which Leeds played against the more elegant and skilful Italian giants, Juventus.
