When Johannesburg-based Ugandan artist Benon Lutaaya passed away in April, the SA art world mourned the loss of an aesthetic pioneer, an activist, a mentor and an entrepreneur.

Gallerist Teresa Lizamore introduced Lutaaya to the local market with his first major solo exhibition in 2013, and in honour of his memory she has invited artists who previously collaborated with him to contribute works to a group exhibition. Eulogy: A Tribute to Benon Lutaaya will open next week.
