Journalists must shake politicians out of their slumber

“You are a rude, terrible person.” These are not Jessie Duarte’s words to eNCA reporter Samkelo Maseko. It was US President Donald Trump to CNN journalist Jim Acosta before he revoked Acosta’s White House pass. Well done Maseko, you are in good company. We want journalists who can shake the politicians out of their slumber. Make them feel uncomfortable in your presence. Ask the questions everyone avoids.
