Mukovhe Morris Masutha is the architect of the free higher education plan, which he created for his future father-in-law, Jacob Zuma. Masutha was also one of the leaders of the Fees Must Fall movement, which led to the destruction of property and disruption of the operation of entire universities in 2016. Now he has been revealed as an employee of the State Security Agency (SSA) during this period. Another unashamedly violent student leader was one Mcebo Dlamini, who was arrested and detained as a result of his protest-related behaviour. People may remember that at the end of 2016, then state security minister David Mahlobo admitted to knowing Dlamini and having invited him to his house. Was Dlamini also a spy for the SSA?
