Due to the switching of labels on the graph of Chinese GDP composition in Moeletsi Mbeki’s article (New power coalition needed to include poor and rich, July 13) the point is lost that the proportion of China’s government consumption spending to GDP is half that of SA. The Chinese proportion of gross capital formation is well more than twice ours. Two good reasons why Chinese unemployment is a fraction of ours. Rudolf GouwsStellenbosch
