In the spirit of doing away with colonial artefacts, can I propose we dispense with the honorific used at present in Parliament, that of "Honourable Member". It seems so very Old-Worldy. This proposal would also have the benefit of ensuring that Parliament no longer maintains the misrepresentation of said members. Neil Emerick Hout Bay
