SA coaches would not have tolerated Chelsea goalie’s refusal to be substituted
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga’s decision to pull down his pants and let one rip in the direction of his boss Maurizio Sarri before a live international television audience on Sunday would have been such an absolute thrill had the insolent player pulled this extraordinary act of defiance here in SA. Just imagine that the crazy scenes we saw on Sunday had played out at either FNB Stadium, Lucas Moripe, Loftus, Moses Mabhida, Cape Town Stadium or at Bidvest Stadium. How do you think that brazen act of insolence and disrespect towards the coach would have ended? Hell, I would be willing to pay good money just to see the look on Pitso Mosimane’s face if one of his players were to get it into their heads to follow in Arrizabalaga’s footsteps and flash his middle finger at the Mamelodi Sundowns coach.
