Those were two of the questions the Congress of the People (COPE) asked in reaction to the announcement on Tuesday that Hlaudi Motsoeneng would be the SABC group executive of corporate affairs. He was recently forced out of his chief operating officer post‚ But‚ "Motsoeneng still doesn’t qualify for the current position; the bottom line is the man doesn’t even have matric or qualifications to qualify him for such an executive post"‚ COPE’s Dennis Bloem said on Wednesday. He said COPE was "fully supporting Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s promise to take legal action against the SABC for appointing Motsoeneng" to his new position. "COPE will never make peace with the fact that Motsoeneng’s appointment was irrational then and now‚" Bloem added.
