Zuma appoints Nombembe to Reserve Bank board
Previously auditor-general, Terence Nombembe has worked with Unilever, BP and auditing firm Gobodo
President Jacob Zuma has re-appointed Terence Nombembe as a non-executive director of the board of the South African Reserve Bank. Nombembe, who was previously auditor-general, will serve for a renewed period of three years. In a statement on Tuesday, the Presidency said: "The president has congratulated Mr Nombembe and has wished him all the best in his responsibilities." Nombembe is a qualified chartered accountant and has worked with Unilever, BP and auditing firm Gobodo Incorporated. He become the auditor-general in 2006, before taking over as CEO of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2014, following the expiry of his term.
