PLENTY of silverware was handed out at the UK Fleet World Honours.In the midst of all the hype surrounding South African, European and world car of the year titles, it is easy to miss some of the big awards relating to fleets.The UK’s Fleet World Honours are among the most prestigious of these.Presented annually to manufacturers, service companies and individuals deemed to have achieved the highest possible level of excellence in their sector, the awards are open to all motor manufacturers.The judging process combines the expert opinion of the Fleet World editorial team, with the values provided by a number of leading leasing companies and fleet data providers.This year saw BMW take the best manufacturer award for the second time in a row, with its 3 Series taking best compact executive and its 5 Series the best executive.
