The latest data show that SA’s unemployment rate increased to 26.7% of the labour force in the first quarter of 2016, a figure that is cause for concern. A new approach to help combat such horrifying statistics is required, and a large part of this lies in exploring entrepreneurship as a possible solution. Consideration needs to be given to establishing small and medium enterprises. There are a lot of potential entrepreneurs who wish to start their own businesses but don’t have the knowledge or education that is required. The question is how we bring them into the fold and assist them in getting their businesses off the ground; it has never been more important to make a commitment to help grow the economy. Promoting entrepreneurship is not only up to the government, it is up to every one of us. Zamansele MhlambiCenturion
