AFTER saddling four of the first five home in the Emperors Palace Charity Mile, trainer Mike de Kock’s army is getting ready to defeat the opposition in the R2m Sansui Summer Cup at Turffontein on December 1.The top trainer has entered the staggering total of 20 horses from his powerful Randjiesfontein yard, and bookies have priced up three of them in the first five in the betting for this Grade 1 contest.De Kock confirmed at the weekend that the winner of the Charity Mile, Mujaarib, would now head straight for the Summer Cup. That’s also the route planned for fourth-placed Silver Flyer. Mujaarib is quoted 5-1 favourite for the Cup with Silver Flyer a point longer at 6-1.However, the number of De Kock’s Cup runners is set to increase after the running of next week’s Victory Moon Stakes. Ilha Bela, Irish Flame, Meadow Magic and Vettel are 20-1 or less in Cup betting, and it would be unwise to rule out choicely bred filly Berry Blaze despite her no-show in her recent comeback race.Sea...
