Ford has revealed its new Transit Custom one-tonne van. It is scheduled to go on sale in SA later this year but Ford Southern Africa says it is unable to confirm as yet when it will arrive in our market. Powered by the EcoBlue 2.0l diesel engine, the company says it has been re-engineered to offer significant new features and capabilities, including a new Econetic variant with claims of improved fuel efficiency and 148g/km CO2 emissions. The updated model sports a new front-end design with three-bar grille, a totally new cabin with improved stowage, comfort and ergonomics, and easy connectivity with Sync 3 or MyFord Dock options. It will also be the first commercial vehicle to feature an Intelligent Speed Limiter.
