Parkland — A 19-year-old US gunman killed 17 people at a Florida high school on Wednesday. The shooter, later identified as Nikolas Cruz, returned to the school where he had once been expelled and opened fire with an assault rifle, killing 17 people and wounding more than a dozen others before he was arrested, authorities said. The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, a quiet community about 70km north of Miami, ranked as the second-deadliest act of gun violence yet on a US public school campus. The attack began shortly before the school’s dismissal. Watch: At least 17 dead in Florida high school shooting rampage
