ILO report highlights poor working conditions of homeworkers
UN labour agency notes that people working from home often earn far less than office-based staff — 25% lower in the case of SA

LONDON — The dramatic global shift to remote working during Covid-19 lockdowns has underscored an urgent need for greater protection for homeworkers, many of whom are paid far less than those employed outside the home, the UN said on Wednesday.
About 7.9% of workers — 260-million people — were based at home before the pandemic, but this figure has more than doubled, according to the International Labour Organisation (ILO)...
