Serious steps are being taken by the ANC in Durban and in KwaZulu-Natal to deal with those who have booed senior party members at recent events. ANC eThekwini regional secretary Bheki Ntuli said it was unfortunate and regrettable that three recent booings happened in his region. "We condemn such activities‚" he said while fielding questions during a regional executive committee media briefing, in Durban on Wednesday. ANC treasurer-general Zweli Mkhize was booed while delivering an address on April 9 at Sastri College during the memorial service of ANC struggle stalwart Ahmed Kathrada. Just days earlier, Mkhize had expressed concerns about President Jacob Zuma’s messy Cabinet reshuffle‚ irking some in the ANC.
