Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma recently had the audacity to say that no patriotic South African would be comfortable with the current state of poverty, unemployment and glaring inequality. She is correct with that assertion, but having been in government, I would not have believed that she had the impertinence to say that in public, the ANC having been in power for 23 years. Moreover, it is common knowledge that her former husband, Jacob Zuma, is facing numerous charges of corruption, alongside others in government and state entities. It is also true that the private sector is "flush with cash" and that the government has a huge deficit. But that is certainly not the fault of commerce, nor SA’s citizens. Cadre deployment in all spheres of government and state-owned entities has resulted in dysfunction and bankruptcy.
