Before boarding a flight to the US last week, I decided to squeeze myself into the Discovery Leadership Summit, which gathers some of the world’s leading voices and thinkers. Popular leader that he is, Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan walked into the only standing ovation of the day and told the audience that each country must provide its own structural, moral and strategic plans for growth. The minister followed other pioneering thinkers and leaders who had spoken before him. Earlier, Arianna Huffington, author and co-founder of the well-known blog, The Huffington Post, had shared insights about how we should be living under modern pressures. In her heavy Greek accent, she insisted it is not possible to multitask. She said "multitasking is a myth", stating that what we do when we try to multitask is actually "task-switching".
