Sassa and CPS reach agreement
Sassa insisted that extending CPS's invalid contract is the only way to ensure social grants are paid on April 1

An agreement on the payment of social grants has been reached between the Department of Social Development, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) and Cash Paymaster Services. Following three days of talks, Department of Social Development spokeswoman Lumka Oliphant said minister Bathabile Dlamini would announce the nature of the agreement in due course.With a month to go until the contract with CPS expires, there is still uncertainty about how more than 17-million social grants will be paid on April 1
