THE DA has urged President Jacob Zuma to stop Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula committing to a R100m jet for the 2016-17 financial year.Responding to a written reply in Parliament to questions on the leasing of a presidential jet, the opposition party claimed the government was being less open than the Mbeki administration on spending on key functions relating to the executive.In her written response to questions in Parliament, Mapisa-Nqakula told MPs that R100m would be allocated for the leasing of a VIP-configured jet for the 2016-17 financial year."The request for offer was issued on the 18 August 2016.
