AECI expects half-year headline earnings per share (HEPS) to be at least 20% (113c) lower in the half-year ended June 30 from 565c in the year-earlier period, the explosives and chemicals group said on Monday.The once-off bulk sale of the group’s surplus property assets at Somerset West contributed 230c per share to HEPS in the year-earlier period, the company said.AECI’s results are expected to be released on or about July 26.At 1.45pm the counter was trading 1.69% lower at R87 after the release of the trading statement, from a previous close of R88.50.
