IN WHAT has become a escalating public spat between the Treasury and Eskom, the parastatal has expressed shock at the Treasury’s accusation that it has not been co-operating with the review of coal contracts, insisting that it has."Eskom wants to reiterate that it has been co-operating with National Treasury," it said.Eskom said that Treasury started investigating Eskom contracts with Gupta-controlled Tegeta Resources in July last year and the electricity supplier had been responding to all requests.Eskom outlined its interactions with Treasury, saying it received the first request for information on July 31 2015.A response was sent and it came back with its first draft report requesting further information on September 15, said Eskom.Eskom responded again and a second draft report, asking for more information, was sent back to it on October 21 2015.READ THIS: Fight between Eskom and National Treasury hots upIt then responded on November 11 2015 with the required information, includ...
