Though it doesn’t sit very well with me that SA has so many names from the British Empire for its landmarks, it seems the Eastern Cape Provincial Geographical Names Committee is trying to justify its relevance and salaries with its name-changing crusade.
In all likelihood, the "colonial" names will be replaced with names from the ANC pantheon, replacing British and Afrikaner bulldozing with ANC imperialism...
