Eskom to hand 172-page 'Gupta contract report' to Treasury
'After speaking to the minister this morning‚ we will provide information even though the board has not sat yet'
Eskom has committed to handing over information to the Treasury in relation to its investigation into coal contracts‚ including the system-generated list of payments made to Gupta-owned Tegeta Resources. The electricity supplier’s spokesperson‚ Khulu Phasiwe‚ on Tuesday told Talk Radio 702 that a driver had been dispatched to deliver the "thick document" to the Treasury. "[This is] in relation to the 172-page report. We produced a computer generated history of what has happened‚ which is what we going to provide now‚" Phasiwe said. This was after Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown earlier called on Eskom to hand over the information relating to the disputed 172-page report to the Treasury on Tuesday in order to put the "matter to bed".
