Whistleblower Mosilo Mothepu took the bullet for us. She is still paying for her courage and may have to sell her house
The true cost of the corruption that has been eating away at the most strategic of our national assets is beyond rands and cents. The cancerous scourge has inflicted the biggest cost on some of the people who found themselves, or put themselves, in the line of fire to stop the looting. First among these brave patriots is Mosilo Mothepu. She, and others, took the bullet for all of us. And their sacrifice helped turn the tide against the masterminds who perpetrated the heist that has cost SA hundreds of billions over the past 10 years. She is still paying the price for having done the right thing. Unemployed since June 2016, Mothepu has not been earning any income since she blew the whistle on the most elaborate thieving, money-laundering, fraud and corruption racket SA had seen, before the equally obnoxious fraudulent scheme that was perpetrated from inside the head office of Steinhoff. As a reward for doing the right thing, Mothepu is now running out of money, her livelihood destroy...
