It’s quite a striking scene. Directly opposite Cape Town Central police station, on up-and-coming Buitenkant Street, is a brand spanking new shop front with a marijuana leaf proudly emblazoned on the front of it. The shop in question, Goodleaf, seems to have got lucky.
Last week the government gazetted new regulations that made the widespread sale of preparations containing cannabidiol (CBD) oil legal in SA. This week, the store will open and it will have a lot more to sell than just a handful of topical creams and marijuana-related paraphernalia...
