Cape Town’s Peninsula Hotel on the Atlantic seaboard is a must-stay destination for the well-heeled traveller.

And now, for foodies with deep pockets, the Sea Point hotel’s Sunset Restaurant has undergone a refurbishment costing R800,000.

Unsurprisingly, the restaurant’s interiors pay homage to its oceanside location, with strong nautical themes.

Also getting a facelift is the Peninsula’s Faces Bar & Lounge. The revamped lounge offers light meals as well as a new afternoon tea menu, pre-dinner cocktails and after-dinner speciality coffees.

The Sunset Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
